I am a proud member of the Point family and an equally proud member of the Musqueam Indian Band. I am influenced by my grandfather Leonard Point, my grand uncle “Codfish,” Ron Hamilton, Art Thompson, Joe David, and my good friend Lyle Wilson.
My art can be found in the following locations: Museum of Civilization, the Coast Salish door of the Coast Salish House, the canoe at Vancouver Community College’s Broadway Campus, the front entrance of the haahuupayak school in Port Alberni, and two of the welcome figures at the Chemainus band office.
I also carved two totem poles which were in Vancouver International Airport in the 1990s. Other career highlights include helping Ron Hamilton paint curtains (referenced in his book) owned by various Nuu-chah-nulth families on Vancouver Island.
