Artist Statement

To offer the viewer a true vision of the never before scene

Bio

WilliamD.(Gamble)Finn was born in Saskatoon Saskatchewan,and is of Cree-Huron and English Metis. Bill moved to Vancouver,and as a young man worked all over BC .He learned engraving and Silver Carving while living in Prince Rupert during the sixties and seventies,from many carvers and print makers around there at the time. His carved, Silver, Copper, and Gold Jewellery has been purchased and is worn by Political Dignitaries,and their families,in Canada,and by persons from all over the world.Some of his work is on display at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum in Regina Saskatchewan.

All of the awards,for the Bi Annual International Choral Festival hosted in Powell River are made by Bill from Silver,and Carved Stone. He also makes countless Commemorative Medalians as gifts and presentation awards. The majority of his carved work for the past 10 years, is done in collaboration with Infinity Studio Designs. There, his carved pieces are paired with semi-precious stone and other elements to create a new fresh take, on traditional designs. In this collaboration, Bill’ s work has been showcased with Aboriginal Tourism in The Klahowya Village in Stanley Park,for the past three seasons,numerous Metis, First Nations Cultural Events,Forums, Conferences, and Public Festivals.
